At the Braves game

Don't Grill the Baby!

We're at Depeaux, a Cajun restaurant in Decatur, this morning for
brunch. Matt brought my attention to this sign (near the women's
bathroom). Apparently they grill babies here. We are so glad we didn't
bring Daniel.

Amazing Clouds

Why is the song from Wizard of Oz running through my head right now? Matt and I saw this on our way home from Mom's today. Matt says it's a microburst and nobody knows why they're formed (he wants me to edit this--- he doesn't know, but he doesn't know if nobody knows). They're really intense storms that last for a few minutes and are formed at the edges of bad fronts. Matt was right- Just a few minutes later it disappeared.

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

D and Mom came to visit me at school today for my birthday. D came in holding a balloon that said "Happy Birthday, Mommy!". He loved holding onto the string. The roses are from Matt- such a good hubby! Tomorrow Matt and I are having a night out in Atlanta. I'm looking forward to a night of uninterrupted sleep!

D loves the doggies! He tried several times to touch Louie's paw-
almost! Luckily the dogs are very tolerant of Daniel.

Yummy Spoon!

It is so beautiful outside, we decided to eat dinner outside tonight.
Daniel loved being able to watch all the doggies play (or relax on the
chaise like Louis in the background) as he ate his green beans and his
banana berry mix. He loves playing with the spoon when he is finished.

While his shirt says "Caution: Teething", no teeth have appeared yet.
The doctor says his top two are coming in, but I think I'm going to
wake up one day and have a little boy with four teeth. They just all
seem ready to come! And he really wants to try big boy food- you have
to put everything like that out of arm's reach or he'll grab it!

Yet Another Bath Time!

Daniel loves his kitchen sink baths at Grandma's house- he can be a
messy boy!

Just like Daddy...

Daniel decided to play some music for his Mommy (and he does string together some
"ma" noises now, so it does sound like he's saying mama!!) for
Mother's Day. Daddy came and helped him with some songs.

March Pictures

I haven't done a great job of keeping up with my blog (where does the time go???), but here are a few pictures from March. March 1st we had a big snowstorm... Matt was out of town, so Mom stayed with us. The power went out early in the evening, but luckily we had a gas fireplace that kept us warm until the power was turned back on the next afternoon. Notice Buzz with D--- Daniel's overwhelming cuteness quickly converted the Georgia Tech mascot into a huge Bulldog fan.
